Serv-I-Quip and Sub-Zero Group continue their strong partnership.

Serv-I-Quip, Inc. has initiated the design and build phase for a suite of specialized filling and testing systems to support Sub-Zero Group, Inc.’s new manufacturing facility in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Sub-Zero Group—home to the Sub-Zero, Wolf, and Cove brands—is a global leader in premium refrigeration, cooking, and dishwashing products for luxury residential markets. The company has committed nearly $200 million to the Cedar Rapids expansion, which includes an additional 230,000-square-foot manufacturing facility and the creation of more than 300 new jobs.

As part of this investment, Serv-I-Quip will supply, install, and support a comprehensive range of purpose-built filling and testing equipment to support production operations at the new facility. This includes systems for key aspects within the manufacturing process and ongoing quality control.

The scope of equipment includes:

  • 16 DataTest PFLE-150 Helium leak flow systems
  • 4 DataFill EcoCharge Refrigerant charging systems
  • 4 DataFill EcoVent Containment and Safety systems
  • 7 DataVac Reclaim and Vacuum stand systems
  • 1 HLTGR-160 Helium Leak test reclaim/recycle system
  • 1 DataTest High-pressure Nitrogen test system

All systems will be integrated and supported through Serv-I-Quip’s proprietary DataServ software suite, enabling enhanced control, traceability, and optimization of critical manufacturing processes at Sub-Zero’s Cedar Rapids facility.
